During medical school my roommate and I spent so much time dieting that we joked we'd turn into rabbits from all the carrots and lettuce.

Back when Carl Sagan was a household name, I thought up this UFO cartoon that they thought Earthlings were a life form based on caffeine.

Desolation Trail

This is a real place in Hawaii, but when I went there, I could well imagine how a West Texan would react. How can you call it desolate when there's not a single dead armadillo?

Presents

This is the original cartoon that led to a painting called "presents", where a bunny is trying to pretend he's a Christmas tree so others will put presents at his feet. Not everyone is fooled.

Airmadillo Express

This was part of a Christmas card one year when I was living in Texas. The armadillo has a parachute.

Maternity Ward

This was another Christmas card, the joke being that the three wise men have to wait outside and can't come in the maternity ward to see the baby Jesus.
